What's new in October 2026

Improvements and fixes, newest first. Updated whenever something ships.

October 2026

added

See unanswered comments before you resubmit

A resubmittal could go out with a reviewer's comment still unanswered, and you heard about it on the next review. Now Mark as submitted first shows every comment still waiting on you as a checklist, so you can answer each one right there and carry on. It never stops you submitting, and the confirmation names anything going out without a response.

added

Invited teammates get a nudge to sign in

An invite that sits unopened leaves you chasing a coworker who never got started. Now anyone you invite who hasn't signed in gets a short reminder three days later, with a fresh one-click sign-in link and the project you put them on, then one last note at ten days. Reminders arrive during their weekday working hours and stop the moment they sign in.

added

Fill a submittal from its shop drawings

Retyping the parts lists from a panel's shop drawings into a submittal took an afternoon and invited typos. Now choose Read BOM on a drawing, or accept the offer on an empty submittal, and its parts lists come in as one group per panel, repeats added together and relay bases counted with their relays. Every row links back to its sheet, so you check it in the usual import review before anything is added.

fixed

Datasheet highlights sit on the words they mark again

On some datasheets every highlight floated above its words in the compiled package, and a found part number could come back marked only in part, such as the "SKU:" label beside it instead of the number. Now each page is placed where its highlights expect it, and a found part number is marked from its first character to its last, even when the sheet prints it in pieces. Choose Analyze datasheet on a part to remark a sheet found before today.

fixed

PDFs with & or + in their names compile and upload again

A datasheet named like "E&H Promag W500" could stop a submittal from compiling with "missing or unreadable", and uploading the package you sent could fail without a reason, whenever the file name held an ampersand, plus sign or similar character. Those files now download, compile and upload like any other, and a storage problem now says so instead of blaming your file.

added

Family datasheets highlight configured instruments

A flowmeter or transmitter's datasheet usually covers the whole product family and never prints your configured order code, so every submittal flagged the code as missing and the package went out with no highlight. Tell the part what its datasheet does print, such as Promag W 500, right under the datasheet on the part page. Highlights land on that text and the check clears. Editing a part's catalog number now finds its highlights again too.

added

Addenda replace the text they restate

An addendum that restated a section used to be read together with the book's copy, so the requirements mixed old and new wording and nobody could see what changed. Now the newest restated text wins, and the section opens with what the addendum added, removed or changed, old and new wording side by side. An addendum of edit notes is read after the text it amends. Delete the addendum and the earlier text comes back.

changed

Link straight to one change in What's New

Pointing a teammate at one change used to mean sending the whole log and saying "scroll down". Every entry in What's New now has its own link: click its date and copy the address. Each month gets its own page, so the newest changes load first. The help center also opens on an index of every guide, grouped by topic, instead of dropping you into a single article.

added

Outline boxes for datasheet highlights

Filled highlights can muddy a datasheet once it has been copied or scanned a few times. Datasheets can now mark each part with an open box instead, drawn clear of the words so nothing gets covered. Each part keeps its color and the legend stays the same. Pick Outline for the whole company under Numbering & review, or for a single project in its settings.

changed

Open a submittal's part from anywhere on its row

Opening a part on a submittal's equipment list meant aiming for the small arrow at the start of its row. Now a click anywhere on the row opens it, and a second click closes it. The quantity and the include switch still do their own jobs, and the arrow still opens the row from the keyboard.

changed

Anyone on the team can invite a teammate

A new hire no longer waits on an admin to get in. Anyone on the team can now send an invite from Team & access and put the new person on their projects. Admins still change roles and remove people. Members can also pick the Comment Response Log page layout under Numbering & review.

fixed

Part names and tags read in full on a submittal

A submittal's equipment list cut long part names and tag lists short, so "VEGAPULS C 23" read as "VEGAPULS …" and you opened the row to tell parts apart. Names and catalog numbers now show in full, up to four tags show before a count of the rest, and the row wraps on a narrow screen. Only the description is shortened, and hovering it, tapping it or tabbing to it shows the whole description.

changed

Settings use the whole window

Project, submittal and entry settings used to squeeze into a narrow strip on the right, so you scrolled to reach half the fields. Now they drop down from the top across the full width of the window, with fields laid out side by side, so on a desktop screen every project setting fits in one view. Done or Escape closes the panel, and your changes still save as you make them.

added

Your agent can carry a submittal or RFI through to sent

Your connected assistant could draft and compile, but every step after that sent you back to the app. Now it can prepare a submittal the way you would on its page, mark it as submitted, send an RFI, share either with a reviewer, and record what comes back. Before anything is issued, sent or emailed, it shows you what will happen and waits for your yes. It can also take a file from a public link, so a datasheet it found never has to pass through your downloads.

added

One order list for every panel on the job

Each panel's BOM listed its own parts, so totaling what to buy meant adding spreadsheets by hand. The new Order list view in Procurement gives each part one row across every panel: how many you need, how many are on a PO, how many have arrived, and how many are still to order. Parts left to order sort first, and the To order list downloads as a spreadsheet for purchasing.

added

Import purchase orders and receipts from accounting

POs and receipts already live in your accounting system, and retyping them into each project was the price of knowing what had arrived. Drop the printed PO and receipt PDFs, or a spreadsheet export, on the Purchase orders tab. Each PO lands with its lines, each receipt records what arrived against its PO, and the order list updates to match. You review every row before anything is saved.

changed

Your package footer no longer prints over manufacturer footers

Your company name and page number used to land on top of the logo, phone and address manufacturers print at the bottom of their datasheets, and you cleaned it up page by page. The footer now sits close to the paper's edge, below theirs. In your package design you can move it to the top, change its distance from the edge and its side margins, or add a full-width color band that hides anything behind it.

removed

Log rows no longer say who opened them

The Submittal Log and RFI log printed "You opened 2026-09-29" or a coworker's name beside rows, long after anyone needed to know. That label is gone, so each row leaves the room to the submittal or RFI itself. Your bell still counts what you have not opened yet, and opening a row still marks it read for you alone.

changed

Your Table of Contents prints each part number once

An item named by its part number used to show that number twice on the Table of Contents, once as its name and again beside it, and a third time on the Bill of Materials. The contents now print it once, as the name. Turn off the new Part numbers switch on the Table of Contents to leave the column off entirely and let the Bill of Materials carry them.

changed

Datasheet spec tables without grid lines now read as tables

Many datasheets print their specifications as plain columns with no grid lines, so each value was read as loose text, apart from the label it belongs to. Submittal Kit now recognizes those tables row by row, keeps tables printed back to back apart, and no longer mistakes a datasheet's running header for a table. Part details and spec checks pick this up the next time each datasheet is read.

added

Your agent files the responses that come back

A stamped submittal or an answered RFI lands in your inbox, and filing it meant downloading the PDF and uploading it again by hand. Hand it to your connected agent instead. It files the PDF as the response, Submittal Kit reads it the same way it reads an upload, and the agent can record the outcome and the day it came back. An answer a reviewer typed, or one you entered yourself, now stays put when the PDF is read. An outcome set from the Submittal Log drawer now tells followers too.

added

See every part warranty your O&M will print, and leave one out

A Warranties section used to say only how many warranties came from your parts, so you found out which ones printed when you opened the PDF. It now lists each warranty once, with the parts and items that use it. Turn one off to leave it out of this submittal for every item, or turn it back on. A Warranties section you add yourself now collects them too, instead of leaving them in Supplemental Documents.

fixed

A file dropped into an empty section lands once

Dropping a PDF on the upload zone of an empty section, such as a custom uploads section in an O&M Manual, added it twice, so it printed twice in the compiled PDF. The upload zone now takes the drop alone, and the file lands once.

changed

A submittal opens on its sections, with its checks one tab over

Opening a submittal meant scrolling past five rows of compile status, checks and notices before the first section. Now the Contents tab opens on one toolbar for the PDF, then the sections. Configure sections sits in that toolbar. The checks and the spec check move to their own Checks tab, its count beside the name. The header lists the status, the submission, when it went out and when it is due back, and clicking any of them opens it. Mark as submitted names the round it issues. A redline now lists its submissions too.

changed

Start a workspace without booking a call

A shop that found Submittal Kit after hours had to book a call and wait before it could see anything. Now anyone with a work email can sign up, confirm it with the code we email, answer three quick questions, and open the workspace with a card, annual or monthly. If it isn't worth it in the first 30 days, you get a full refund. The build call is still included: after checkout, Billing links straight to booking it. Pricing now shows one Pro plan next to what a package costs by hand.

changed

Sign in, reset a password or sign up with a code, on the tab you are on

Signing in by email meant opening a link, often on another device, and reading a number off one screen to type on another. Now the email carries a 6-digit code. Type it on the tab that asked and you are in: a sign-in lands where you were headed, a reset opens the new-password form, and a signup opens your workspace. No link to click, no second tab, and the code only works on the tab that asked for it.

fixed

Each project opens where you left it

Jumping between jobs from the Project field carried the page you were on into the next job, so a project you last worked in from Submittals could open on the Submittal log instead. Each project now opens on Submittals the first time, and after that on the page you last had open in that project.

fixed

Evening submissions are dated the day you sent them

Mark something as submitted in the evening and the log could date it tomorrow, a day after its cover, with the review due date a day late too. A submission now takes the date at the project's office, or yours when the office has no time zone set. An RFI that has not gone out yet previews with the same date. A redline no longer lists an "Unknown template" it never had.

added

A worked BOM preflight before the PDF

A polished submittal can still carry an incomplete catalog number, the wrong datasheet, or a duplicate BOM row. The new BOM preflight field guide walks a fictional six-row controls BOM from source records through the compiled package, so you can resolve the part, document, quantity, and scope questions before review.

added

Covers can print just the year

An O&M manual cover that wanted "2026" on it had to print the full compile date or a year typed by hand that went stale every January. The new {year} token prints the year the package compiles, in your office's time zone. Use it on covers, section pages, the page footer, the binder spine, warranty letters and submittal name formats. Type { in a design or naming field to find it, or pick it from a letter's Insert field list.

added

Transmittals and warranty letters fill themselves in

Finishing a transmittal by hand in Bluebeam, or rewriting last job's warranty letter in Word, is over. The Transmittal section now holds every box your transmittal prints, with the recipient, signer and description lines filled from the project. Settings > Letters keeps your warranty letters, and a Warranties section prints one on your letterhead ahead of the warranty documents. A part's warranty prints once however many entries share it. RFIs show only the fields your layout prints and sign with your title. Every form has a Preview.

changed

A top bar and a project rail in the order you work

The sidebar took a column from every page, and a project's pages hid behind tabs and a band of logs. Your company's pages now sit in a top bar, and its bell opens your notifications without leaving the page. Inside a project, a rail lists every page in the order you use them, Submittals first, and the Project field at its top jumps to another job. Parts and Documents filter from a rail with a count beside each manufacturer, type and cleanup filter, so you see what a filter holds before you click it.

fixed

Text highlights land on the words you drag over

Dragging the Text highlighter across a line of a datasheet used to grab the lines above and below it, and sometimes the whole page. A drag now selects the words under it, on small print, two-column sheets and rotated scans. A highlight across several lines saves one even strip per line instead of darker overlapping bands. Search marks the line holding each match instead of a faint band spilling past it. Pages also draw at your screen's full resolution, so 6 pt print on a Retina display reads sharp, not soft.

changed

Step to the next part, document or firm from its page

Getting to the next part or firm meant going back to the list. Part, document and firm pages now sit beside a rail that steps to the previous or next one in your list and jumps between sections. A document opens on its pages with each listed part marked where it prints, and every firm gets a page for its people, projects and quotes. A submittal's header says where it stands and offers the one next step, and its issued rounds read as Submissions. The Parts list shows a datasheet and a manual column you can scan.

changed

Rows without a part number stay rows, not parts

A BOM that said "-" or "See valve schedule" in the catalog column used to leave a fake part in your library and a dozen items pointing at it. Those rows now arrive as items waiting for a part, marked Needs part on the register, and a repeated header row is skipped. Remove part takes a wrong part off an item, and the Parts Library's Needs cleanup filter lists the placeholder parts older imports made so you can clear them.

fixed

Closing the markup editor no longer deletes marks

After you closed the markup editor, pressing Backspace anywhere in the app could delete the last mark you had selected, and Escape stopped closing dialogs until you reloaded. Closing the editor now ends both. The document Redact page opens its PDF instead of an empty pane, As compiled shows the document once instead of stacking a second copy, and clicking a note or box without moving it no longer sends its datasheet's submittals to recompile. Marks on a rotated page save where you drew them, and a save that fails says so and puts the mark back.

changed

Logs read in number order

Finding RFI 12 meant scrolling past every newer RFI, because the RFI and Change Order Logs listed the latest first. The Submittal, RFI and Change Order Logs now read in number order, 1 at the top, the way the log you send the engineer reads. Follow-ups and earlier revisions sit under their original in order, unsent drafts wait at the bottom, and the spreadsheet and PDF exports match the screen. Sort still brings the latest to the top when you want it.

changed

One-product cut sheets list their part

A cut sheet for one product prints its catalog number in the title and the spec table, not in an ordering table, so it listed no parts and never came up for the part it covers. A datasheet or manual with no ordering table now has its overview and specification pages read for the number instead, so it lists its part and is offered when that part needs a datasheet. The number in a sheet's title counts even when nothing else repeats it, and short numbers such as XP2 or S2A are kept.

changed

Check found highlights without leaving the page

Checking a found highlight took a click on its pin, a popover, and a trip back to the page, while a tool rail and side panel squeezed the page itself. The editor now opens on what is left to check and counts it down, 2 of 5 to check. Confirm and Reject sit right above each highlight, and C, R, N and P do the same from the keyboard. Your own marks restyle from that bar, Cmd or Ctrl+Z undoes, and the page gets the window's full width, on a phone too.

changed

Large returned documents, spec books and scope PDFs upload

A returned O&M Manual over 100 MB used to fail on upload, so it never made it into the review record. Returned documents now upload up to 1 GB, as does a reviewer's stamped PDF sent through a share link, and spec books and scope PDFs up to their full 250 MB. The file goes straight to storage and shows as Checking until it lands. If it fails, the strip above the list says why, and you can remove it and try again.

changed

Recompiles redraw only the datasheets you changed

Swapping one datasheet in a large O&M Manual used to mean waiting minutes while every section was drawn again. Now a recompile draws only the sections that changed and reuses the rest. Page footers stamp in under a second on a 1,500-page manual. Footers also keep their own font on vendor pages that carried a font under the same name, so a page number no longer prints in the vendor's typeface.

fixed

The contents list every linked spec section

A submittal linked to several spec sections printed them all, but its Table of Contents showed only the Specification heading, so a reviewer had to open the bookmarks to find each one. Each linked section now has its own row in the contents, primary section first, with the page it starts on.

added

Add the parts your datasheets list

A selection guide in your library prints hundreds of catalog numbers, yet each part waited until someone typed it in from a project. Each datasheet and manual now lists the products it covers, not the accessories it mentions, by family, beside a preview open at its page. Link the parts you already have in one click, or add the new ones in bulk with Undo. The library and the Parts page show which documents still have parts to add. The preview is larger and opens full screen, and deleting a linked document unlinks its parts in the same step.

added

See stock, lead time and lifecycle on the parts a distributor carries

An obsolete contactor used to surface when the engineer bounced the submittal. Now each part is checked against a major distributor's catalog. The part page shows stock, price breaks, factory lead time and compliance codes, and a new part's blank description fills in. An obsolete or end-of-life part is marked in the Register and listed in readiness before you issue. Coverage uses the distributor's lead time for an order-by date when you have no quote or past order, so more parts may show as approaching.

added

Send one section, and start each Type from its own layout

After an Approved as Noted return you had to send the whole package to answer a few comments. Every section now has Build section PDF, which builds just that section from page 1 in the background, such as the Comment Response Log. A new submittal also starts from the package layout set for its Type, so a Safety Plan opens with its own sections, and a layout's policy section can hold your safety manual so each package starts with it.

added

Name, group and reorder the files in a section

A scanned drawing printed in the contents as SCAN_0042.pdf, in upload order, with nothing to say which panel it covers. Give a section's file a name and it prints under that name in the contents and bookmarks. Drag it, or use the arrow keys, to set the order. In a Drawings section, link it to an equipment group and it prints as "Panel A: Wiring diagram".

fixed

Safety plans print the policy and contacts you picked

Settings, Policy documents showed the brand page instead, and a Company Policy Documents section had no way to choose your safety manual, so it was uploaded again into every package. The page opens again, and the section now searches your policy documents or takes a new one that joins the list. Overview & Safety takes your own PDF. Emergency Contacts lists your office, then the primary contact, then everyone else by name, without wrapped emails. A safety plan with no equipment no longer warns that no section prints equipment.

changed

Name the owner and who you are contracted with

On a job contracted directly with a city, the cover called the city the contractor. Project settings now has Parties: pick the Owner and the firm the project is Contracted with, each with its own job number. Leave Contracted with empty when you work for the owner directly. The built-in covers print that party under SUBMITTED TO, and new RFIs print the same firm and job number.

added

Emergency Contacts print the nearest hospital and hotlines

Crews need the hospital's address and the poison and spill lines, so you uploaded a second PDF into every safety plan. Give a firm the Hospital role on the Contact List and every Emergency Contacts page prints its address and phone under your people. Your company's emergency hotlines print below it, starting from 911, Poison Control, the National Response Center and ChemTel. Edit or reset the list in Settings, Personnel.

removed

The whiteboard is gone

Submittal Kit is for building and tracking submittals, and the office whiteboard pulled it away from that. The whiteboard page, its TV screens, and the project short name and personnel branch, group and out-until fields that fed it are removed from the app. Paired TVs stop showing a board.

fixed

Big projects open fast, every tab

On a project with thousands of equipment entries, opening a submittal, searching the Register, or switching to Equipment, Procurement, the Asset Table, the Schedule or your dashboard could take several seconds. Each of those now reads only what it shows, so a submittal opens in about a fifth of the time and the Procurement tab, which took over five seconds, loads in a fraction of one.

fixed

Coverage warns you before an order-by date passes

The Coverage view could show a part with a sixteen-week lead time and no warning, and a collapsed panel read as empty. Each part now carries its need-by from the schedule, an ORDER BY warning two weeks before its quoted lead time runs out, and Late when a vendor's promise misses the date. A collapsed group shows the coverage of everything inside it and the milestone it feeds.

added

Book a call and we build your first package with you

Learning a new tool in the middle of a job is where most first packages stall. Now you book a 45-minute call from the homepage, send your BOM, datasheets and manuals two business days ahead, and we build your first submittal package with you, on your screen. If we can't build it on the call, your first month is free. Every plan gets a full refund in the first 30 days, and plans now live on their own pricing page.

changed

Emails read wider and cleaner

Our emails sat in a narrow column on a cream page, so a digest of late items wrapped early and looked crowded on a desktop. Every email from Submittal Kit is now white and wider, with a bigger logo up top. The overdue digest also drops the days-late count, since each item now arrives once, the morning after its date.

fixed

Spec check rows show what the document said in full

A spec check row cut the document's words to a few characters, and opening it could push the text off the side of the screen. Now each row shows the full quote under the requirement, with the document it came from and its page, like "Datasheet p7" or "Manual p2", so you can tell a datasheet value from a manual's without opening anything. A manual that cannot answer a row now leaves it Not stated instead of asking you to look.

changed

Sign-in emails approve the tab you asked from

A sign-in link used to sign in whatever device opened it, so checking mail on your phone left your computer signed out, and the link opened a fresh tab at the dashboard. Now the tab that asked waits with a 2-digit number. Tap Approve in the email on any device, type that number, and the waiting tab signs itself in on the page you were headed to. Deny cancels the request.

fixed

Datasheet ratings are read more carefully and flagged only when off

About one rating in six asked you to look at a value the datasheet plainly printed, while some wrong values went through, like heat dissipation stored as power draw. Now the datasheet read follows what each rating means, quotes every place a value comes from, and the check flags only a value the page does not back or one that is clearly another rating, so the spec check works from cleaner numbers.

changed

Password changes are approved by email

Anyone at an unlocked computer could change your password, and teammates who joined by invite often never set one. Now your first sign-in asks for your name and a password before anything opens. Changing a password, or resetting a forgotten one from the login page, sends an approval email like sign-in does. Approve it with the number on your screen, and that tab asks for the new password and signs you out everywhere else.

changed

One email per overdue item

The overdue email repeated each late review and RFI response every week, and with dates spread across a portfolio that meant a reminder most mornings. Each item now lands in your inbox once, the morning after it goes overdue. The dashboard keeps it in front of you until it comes back.

changed

Every field and dropdown looks the same

Fields used to change shape from page to page: bold and cramped dropdowns in Find documents, borderless boxes on Account, rounded ones on Personnel, and the browser's own control on review marks and maintenance plans. Every text box, note and dropdown is now the field you see in project settings, full size in forms and compact in rows and tables. Read-only fields read as greyed out, and a field that needs fixing gets a red border beside its message.

added

Allen-Bradley parts get Rockwell's own spec sheets and instructions

Rockwell publishes its spec sheets and installation instructions per bulletin, so a web search rarely found them and often picked another family's sheet. Find documents now asks Rockwell's literature library first for any part your company calls AB, Allen-Bradley or Rockwell, and offers the documents whose catalog tags fit the part. An 800H-AR6A push button gets the 30 mm push button specifications and its installation instruction. Parts typed SE or Square D now get their se.com datasheet too.

added

Help articles show each step on the real screen

Reading "click New Submittal" and then hunting for the button costs the minute the article was meant to save. Help articles now walk through their steps on the actual screen, with each instruction pinned beside the control it names. Previous, Next and a list of the steps sit beside the screen, so nothing moves as you click through, and the videos run about a third shorter. Copy Markdown puts any article on your clipboard.

changed

Find documents looks for the datasheet and the manual separately

A search used to come back with a datasheet or a manual, rarely both, and never said which one it missed. The datasheet and the manual now each get their own search, using the part's product name, description and the manufacturer's site. A role it can't find keeps a dashed row in the list that says so. Manuals linked from a product page now download.

fixed

Creating a redline works again

Picking a Redline type in New Submittal sent you to a link that only reloaded the Submittals tab, so there was no way to start a redline. The form now asks for the drawing set PDF right there: name it, drop in the PDF, and Create submittal opens your new redline, ready for the markup editor. The "Create an as-built redline" link on an O&M manual opens the same form, and Delete submittal on a redline's page clears one you no longer need.

fixed

Brochure parts stay on the pages that show them

Splitting a family brochure could move a part to a section that never mentions it, so the new datasheet had no highlight for the part. Now a part only goes to a section that holds its highlights, and accessories such as expansion cables get their own section. A part's description also now reads the page that prints its full catalog number, even deep inside a long brochure.

fixed

Every screen fits a laptop or a phone

On a laptop with the sidebar open, or on a phone, columns fell off the edge, log names vanished, and pages scrolled sideways. Logs now wrap a row onto two lines before a name would shrink to nothing, settings and editors stack their columns when the window is narrow, and wide tables scroll inside their own area with Edit and Delete kept in view. A keyboard can scroll any table that overflows.

fixed

Splitting a brochure keeps each entry's datasheet

Splitting a family brochure could leave an equipment entry on a different datasheet than the one you picked, or fill in a datasheet on an entry you had left empty on purpose. Now an entry that used the brochure uses its section, and every other entry stays as you set it. Deleting a submittal, RFI or revision also no longer flashes "is gone" on the way out.

fixed

Split datasheets are named for the family they cover

Splitting a section of a brochure again gave every new datasheet the same name, repeated twice, so you could not tell one fuse block sheet from another. Each split datasheet is now named after the original brochure and the catalog prefix it covers, like "1492-td017 - 1492-PFB4 Fuse Terminal Blocks". Datasheets you already split have been renamed the same way.

fixed

A section no longer says it is reading long after the read finished

After you uploaded a specification or claimed a section, a section pane could keep saying "Reading this section" with a running timer for up to 15 minutes, and Stop did not clear it. Now the read picks up every section it was asked for before it finishes, and Stop clears the strip when nothing is running.

changed

Every equipment table names an item the same way

Five flowmeters of one configuration used to print as five schedule rows, and the contents page named one item three ways. Now the Table of Contents, Bill of Materials, Equipment Schedule, Maintenance Schedule and Spec Check Results all print your Register name, the part number and the manufacturer. The schedule prints one row per configuration with every tag it covers. An O&M's contents follow the same print switches as a submittal's, and the BOM export matches.

fixed

Punch List for Record is one click from the Punch List

Issuing a punch list For Record meant knowing an address nobody could find. Now Punch List for Record sits at the top of the Punch List, next to Import, and the command palette lists it on every project page.

changed

Part ratings read like a spec sheet

A part's datasheet ratings used to sit beside the sentence each came from, so you read every value twice. Now the ratings are grouped under Electrical, Measurement, Environment, Mechanical and Listings with one link to the datasheet page, and a line names what the datasheet leaves out, such as enclosure rating. Category and tags sit beside the title, where you can change them in place.

fixed

Submittal names stay readable in the Submittal Log

On a laptop screen with the sidebar open, the Submittal Log squeezed each submittal's name down to a few letters or nothing at all. Now the name keeps its full width first: the revision label and the Who column give way, and on a narrow screen the name moves to a line of its own.

fixed

Datasheet facts stop flagging values the page does state

A part could ask you to look at a temperature range the datasheet plainly printed, because the value joined two table rows and its quote held only one. Now the datasheet read quotes every row a value draws from, so the check sees the whole value. When something still needs a look, it says the quote may not support the value instead of claiming the page leaves it out.

fixed

Brochure splits run in the background

Splitting a long family brochure could stop halfway with a server error, and you had to click again to finish it. The split now runs in the background, so the page stays responsive and the new datasheets appear as soon as they are made. If a split stops, the offer says why and Try again picks up where it left off.

changed

Tags grouped by the order code they were bought with

A second tag used to mean typing a comma list, and a tag's own order code lived on a card that only appeared once a row had two tags. Now an item's tags are chips under each order code, on the entry page, the Register and the submittal drawer alike. Move a chip to another code or onto its own entry from its menu. The Table of Contents prints a line per code, and new Tags and Configurations switches leave either off.

added

Packages print their spec sections and spec check results

A reviewer reading a submittal used to open the spec book separately to see what the package answers to. Add a Specification section and the package prints the pages of every linked spec section, primary first, each under its own bookmark. Add Spec Check Results and it prints each requirement's result per product, with your marks in place. A row the datasheet does not settle prints Not stated. An old Specification upload section is now a Custom Upload.

changed

The spec check leads with what does not meet

The spec check used to flag rows an engineer never looks at, and five catalog numbers on one datasheet listed the same rows five times. It now reads only the requirements a product is accepted or rejected on, judges each part as ordered, and lists parts on one datasheet once, splitting a row only where their answers differ. Rows the datasheet is silent on are read in the linked manual, and you can mark any row Doesn't apply. It opens on Does not meet, and Not stated is never counted as Meets.

added

Fill manufacturer contacts from a spreadsheet

Filling in addresses and phone numbers one manufacturer at a time took an afternoon. Settings, Manufacturers now has Import contacts: pick a CSV or Excel file and the list shows what each manufacturer would gain, matched by id, name or alias. Uncheck any row, then fill. Only blank fields are filled, so nothing you typed is replaced. Export CSV gives you a file to start from.

fixed

Manual reads land while you edit a submittal

A manual's maintenance read could fail if it finished while someone was editing a submittal that uses the part, and the tasks never reached the part's plan. Deleting a spec book while a submittal was being edited could fail the same way. Both now wait their turn and finish.

changed

Linked manuals fill in the maintenance plan on their own

A part linked to an older manual showed an empty maintenance plan until you clicked Read now. Linking a manual that has never been read now starts the read, and its tasks land on the part when it finishes. Parts already linked to unread manuals are being filled in the same way.

fixed

Find documents no longer fails partway through a web search

Some Find documents runs stopped with a search error and no datasheets, even though the search itself had worked. The search answer came back in an order the app did not expect. Those runs now finish and stage what they found.

changed

Find documents starts with the sheets you already have

Find documents used to search the web for a datasheet that was already in your library, and offer an old distributor copy beside it. Now the panel opens with your library's matches, marked when they print the catalog number, and the web search looks only for what is still missing. Every row shows the revision date it prints and the site it came from, with the manufacturer's own copy first. Dismiss one row at a time and Undo it.

fixed

Connect an agent as a different account

Connecting an assistant used to act as whoever was signed in to the browser, and the only way to change that was to sign out and start the connection again. The approval screen now has Use a different account. Sign in with the right account and the same connection continues. An account that can't grant the connection gets a page that says why, instead of an error code in your assistant.

added

Asset Table page, with each tag's own order code

Closeout data used to hide behind a switch on the Equipment Register. The Asset Table now has its own page in Logs & lists: one line per tag, values filled from the part and its datasheet with the source shown, chips for what is still missing, and the Maintenance Plan by part. Several flowmeters bought with different order codes stay one entry: give each tag its code, or merge duplicate rows, and the submittal prints a row per code.

added

Library uploads file themselves as datasheets, manuals or other

Dropping a mix of datasheets and manuals into the Document Library used to file them all as one type, and fixing each one meant opening it. Uploads now default to the detected type: the first two pages are read and each file moves to Manual or Other when that is clearly what it is. An unclear file stays a Datasheet, and you can still pick a type before you drop.

changed

Datasheet highlights the check is unsure about wait under Needs a look

A highlight on the wrong model number, such as a sibling with one extra letter, could pass as verified, and you only caught it on the printed datasheet. Every highlight is now checked against its line and a picture of it. One that names a sibling model says so, and one the check is unsure about waits under Needs a look instead of passing quietly.

changed

Spec section suggestions say why, and you can read a section before linking it

The spec section picker used to suggest the same section several times, cut titles short, and give no way to read a section without linking it. Each suggested section now appears once with the parts it governs or the submittal requirement it answers, plus its full title, its Work Included sentence and its pages. Preview opens the section's pages in place. Suggestions refresh on their own when the equipment, the spec book or the files uploaded to the submittal change.

fixed

Sections take photos again

Site photos had to be converted to PDF by hand before a section would take them. Drop iPhone HEIC photos or JPG, PNG, GIF and WebP images into any upload section, several at a time, and each one lands as an upright, letter-sized PDF page in the compiled package. Equipment documents take HEIC photos too.

changed

Budget lines seeded from the SOV arrive categorized

Seeding the Budget Register from the Schedule of Values put every line in Other, and you recategorized each one by hand. Each seeded line is now filed under the category its description and SOV heading point to, such as Labor for startup or Controls Equip for panels. A line that fits no category clearly still lands in Other.

changed

Scope documents import in about half the time

Importing a long or scanned subcontract used to take five minutes or more before its sections showed up. A scanned subcontract now reads only the pages that describe the scope of work, and the sections it covers are picked in seconds instead of minutes. Each picked section is still read before it is claimed, so what lands is checked against the book the same way as before.

added

A scanned returned submittal still suggests its stamp

When a reviewer sent back a scan with no readable text, the log had no suggested disposition and you read the stamp yourself. The returned pages are now looked at as images, so a clear Approved or Revise and Resubmit stamp becomes the suggestion on the log entry. You still confirm it before it is recorded.

changed

Comments read from a return suggest your own severities

Comments read from a returned document arrived with a generic severity, so you re-picked each one from your company's list before filing. Each comment now suggests one of your own severities, and pages with no reviewer markup are skipped, so fewer stray comments wait in review.

changed

Re-importing a BOM keeps your uploads

A revised BOM used to mean starting over: Replace deleted every entry and added it back, taking uploads and configurations with it. Now Replace keeps each entry whose part is still in the file and updates its quantity and description in place. Catalog numbers match with punctuation and case ignored, and when one matches a part under another manufacturer, the review asks you whether it is the same part instead of quietly adding a duplicate.

changed

Find documents fetches more datasheets, and says why one failed

Many manufacturer sites turned away the download, leaving you a bare link and no idea why. Find documents now gets through more of them, including Schneider Electric's, and follows a product page to its datasheet. When a download still fails, the row says why. Press Try again, or save the PDF yourself and press Upload file to attach it to the part in one step.

added

Described parts arrive with a category and tags

After a part was described from its datasheet, you still picked its category and tags by hand. Describing a part now files it under one of your company's categories and adds the tags that clearly fit. A category you pick yourself stays put and a tag you remove stays off, until you choose Allow automatic classification again.

fixed

Spec books numbered with underscores find their sections

A spec book that writes its numbers as 40_64_01, or names a section only in its page footers, used to upload with few or no sections. Those books now find their sections. A file holding a single section takes its number from the filename when the pages do not print it, and an IP address on a drawing is never read as a section. When a document still comes up short, Detect sections again on its row reads it once more.

added

Your assistant can hand over the datasheets it finds

Your assistant found the right datasheet, and then you still had to download it, upload it, and link it to the part yourself. Now your assistant passes the link to Submittal Kit, which fetches the PDF for you. You approve or dismiss each one right in the chat, and anything you approve drops off the part's review list in the app.

added

Your assistant can build a submittal from your BOM

Retyping a BOM into a submittal, part by part, is an afternoon you don't get back. Hand your assistant the spreadsheet instead. It builds the submittal's equipment with your panels as groups, adds the parts your library lacks, and checks with you before it adds a new manufacturer or replaces anything already there. Then it finds the datasheets and manuals for you to approve in the chat.

added

Package templates now carry every section setting

Setting up each new package the way your company prints them took the same clicks every time. Package templates now hold every section setting: which documents print where, which are required, part categories, and whether the contents, schedule and bill of materials print quantities and manufacturer contacts. A package shows what it changed from its template, with a Reset for each setting, and its settings drawer applies a newer template. Dragging a section, or any sortable row, now shows a line where it will land.

fixed

Your office address prints when you have one branch

With a single branch location, new projects had no branch, and the branch picker stayed hidden, so submittals compiled without your office address and phone. Every project now uses your only branch until you add a second one. Projects already missing it pick it up, and their next compile prints your office details.

fixed

A misfiled PDF or a deleted catch-all section no longer leaves you stuck

Uploading a PDF the library already had under another type used to fail with "Something went wrong". Now the upload says where the file is filed and lets you change its type or link it as it is, and the Document Library lets you change any document's type. Deleting the section that collected unclaimed documents used to fail the compile without warning. Now the equipment row warns you first, and any section can take over the job.

fixed

Work that stopped no longer spins until you reload

When a compile or a document read died partway, its spinner kept turning until you reloaded the page, and a stuck compile could show as running for five hours. Now the moment the work is marked failed, every open screen shows it, and a compile that outlives its time limit is failed within about two hours so you can run it again.

fixed

Searches keep up with fast typing

Typing quickly into the Contact List search could drop characters, and the spec section picker went blank between keys. Both now wait until you pause before they search, and the picker keeps its last results on screen until the new ones arrive. Filtering coverage on a long Equipment Register no longer slows the search box down.

fixed

Punch list imports bring in every item

Importing a punch list with more than about 40 items quietly stopped partway, so the rest had to be typed in by hand. An import now reads every row of the sheet, up to 2,000 items, and a longer sheet is turned away with a note to split it rather than cut short.

changed

Old notifications leave the feed on their own

A notification you never cleared stayed on the feed forever, so the list kept growing long after the work was done. Now a row leaves every feed 180 days after the last thing happened on it, along with its "opened by". A row someone has claimed with I've got it stays.

fixed

MOF exports name any quote they could not include

When a quote file could not be fetched, the MOF ZIP left it out without a word, so whoever cut the POs had no way to know a quote was missing. The ZIP now lists those quotes in Quotes/Missing quotes.txt, next to the ones it did include.

fixed

Every screen works from the keyboard and with a screen reader

Some controls only worked with a mouse. Picking a firm or contact, opening a revision in the Submittal Log, and claiming a notification were among them, and a screen reader stayed silent when you changed pages or a compile finished. Now every picker, list and editor works from the keyboard, and changes are announced. The selected row and the field outlines show without relying on color, and small buttons are bigger targets.

fixed

Help articles hold still while screenshots load

Reading a help article used to mean losing your place as each screenshot loaded and pushed the text down. Now every screenshot holds its space from the start, and the images are half the size they were, so articles open faster on a slow connection.

fixed

Library totals count each document once, and big logs open faster

A datasheet linked to several parts was counted once per part in the Document Library's totals, so the numbers above the list ran high. Each document now counts once. The Submittal Log, the dashboard and search no longer load every package's compiled contents just to list them, so a project with many issued packages opens faster.

fixed

Assign firm and Add person find your directory again

On a project's Contact List, the firm search in Assign firm and the person search under each firm came back empty, so you couldn't pull anyone in from your directory. Both searches return your firms and contacts again.

fixed

What your agent creates shows up without a reload

A project, submittal, RFI or part your connected agent created stayed invisible in your open tabs until you reloaded them. Now every open screen picks it up as soon as the agent's call finishes, the same way it picks up a teammate's edit.

fixed

Search finds a part number however it's spelled

Search your library for RS485 and the datasheet that prints RS-485 never showed up, so you retried with every hyphen and space you could think of. Search now tries the other spellings for you, so RS485 finds RS-485 and 120 VAC finds 120VAC.

added

Add a brand-new part without leaving the submittal

A part that wasn't in your library yet sent you off to create it first, then back to the submittal to add it. Now you type its catalog number in Add Item and choose New part, right where you are. If that catalog number is already in the library, you get the existing part instead of a duplicate. Pick a subgroup under Add into, or press + on a subgroup's row, and the part lands in that subgroup.

fixed

Issued comment numbers stay put

Delete a comment after a revision went out and every number below it shifted, so "item 7" in the reviewer's email pointed at the wrong row. Issuing a revision now makes the numbers on its Comment Response Log permanent: deleting one leaves a gap and keeps the old number on record.

fixed

Background work finishes on screen

Upload a datasheet to a part and the scan could sit on "Looking for this catalog number" forever, even though it had finished, until you refreshed the page. The same stall hit descriptions, indexing and other follow-up work that starts on its own. Those steps now report to your screen as they move and when they finish, and a step that crashes says so instead of looking busy.

fixed

Parts keep their datasheet facts

About one part in ten could come back from its datasheet with no description and no specs, so you filled the gaps by hand. Reading a datasheet now takes a moment to think before it answers, which stops the garbled replies that were being thrown away, and you get the voltage, ratings and certifications the sheet states.

changed

Messages you can read at a glance

Pale messages in the corner were easy to miss, and a failed save often said only "Not saved" without the reason. Each message is now a bordered sheet that names its level in a word, gives the reason on a second line, and offers Retry when the connection dropped during an edit. Repeats count up instead of stacking, F8 jumps to the newest, and Recent messages in the command palette keeps the last 20.

removed

No more suggested text in punch responses

The faded suggestion that appeared while you wrote a punch response was slow to arrive and rarely said what you meant. The response box on the punch list and in the Comment Response Log is now a plain editor that shows only what you type.

fixed

Date fields wait until you are done

Picking a date saved the moment you touched the calendar, and typing a year saved after its first digit, so the picker closed before you had the date you wanted. Dates on RFIs, change orders, the Submittal Log, project settings and the whiteboard now save once you leave the field or press Enter. Escape puts the saved date back.

fixed

A comment stays open while you finish it

Closing a comment or recording its acceptance in the Comment Response Log moved it out of the filter you were in, and it vanished before you had set its other fields. The comment you are working on now stays open in its place, showing where it moved, until you close it or open another.
